Classroom Without Walls

One of the true highlights of an APIS education, is our annual “Classroom Without Walls” trips.

These weeklong educational trips focus on integrating what we learn in the traditional classroom and applying it to the real world. Mixed in with the curricular ties are themes geared towards, team-building, leadership, community service and calculated risk taking. Elementary trips stay close to home but as students reach the higher grades, the program allows them to become more independent and adventurous as our students explore many of Thailand’s cultural and natural attractions in the quest for deeper understanding.

Recent trips have included obtaining SCUBA certification on Koh Tao, studying fresh-water ecology in Khao Sok National Park near Phuket and helping to construct a school as part of a community service trip in Ban Thaton near the northern Thai/Burmese boarder.
